Defending the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Dream Initiative

Our Services

Â鶹ÊÓƵ Dream provides the following services to individuals and communities in the DMV area:

  • Legal consultations
  • Limited legal representation
  • Full legal representation (including removal proceedings in immigration court)
  • Financial support for initial and renewal DACA application fees
  • Presentations on current legal issues and higher education resources for undocumented students

Please note that all of our services are free.

Who is eligible for our services?

  • Undocumented undergraduate or graduate students at any institution in the DMV 
  • Documented, non-US citizen undergraduate or graduate students at any institution in the DMV
  • Undocumented family members of undergraduate or graduate students of any immigration status or U.S. citizenship
  • International students who may have a humanitarian-based claim

What types of immigration cases does Â鶹ÊÓƵ Dream take?

Although many undocumented students in college have DACA, we serve all noncitizen college student and are not exclusively a DACA clinic. We take on the following types of cases:

  • Initial and renewal applications for DACA
  • Initial and renewal applications for Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
  • Advance Parole applications
  • Asylum, withholding of removal, or protection under the Convention Against Torture
  • U visas
  • T visas
  • Self-petitions and defensive applications under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)
  • Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS)
  • Green card applications
  • Citizenship applications
  • Family-based petitions (for a spouse, parent, or child)
  • Removal (deportation) proceedings in immigration court

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list. Â鶹ÊÓƵ Dream focuses on humanitarian claims under immigration law. We are not able to assist with student (F1/J1) or business visa applications, including OPT or CPT requests.
