The periodic review of academic programs provides an opportunity for each unit to reflect on and evaluate its programs, plans, organizations, activities, and goals. This assessment process includes the unit's own self-study report and a subsequent review by a team of external specialists. The comprehensive review aims to foster academic excellence and to enhance the unit's quality and progress. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ, each academic program engages in the review process, customarily, every seven years. In some cases, an accreditation review also can serve as the periodic assessment of a program.
