Meredith Jacob

Meredith is the director of PIJIP’s Project on Copyright and Open Licensing and also the Public Lead for Creative Commons USA. Meredith is currently working with educators to implement the Best Practices in Fair Use for Open Educational Resources and support the creation of OER. Complementing this work, Meredith conducts research and public education on the future of learning, including topics of artificial intelligence, copyright, and information law.  She has also served as co-chair of the Open Covid Patent Pledge and the Low Carbon Patent Pledge.  Her previous work has included research and advocacy on open access to federally funded research, flexible limitations and exceptions to copyright, privacy, and pharmaceutical policy.
