Michael Moore

Michael Moore ('96)

is Associate General Counsel, Senior Director, and global head of Intellectual Property for Content & Brands for Mattel, Inc., the owner of Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, Thomas & Friends, Polly Pocket, SCRABBLE, UNO, and many more.  Michael has been with Mattel for over 20 years and is based in Los Angeles.  Michael manages all IP matters for Mattel, from IP clearance, registration, M&A, enforcement, litigation, and of course, customs issues worldwide.  In 2003 Michael managed the first EU Designs rights case ever litigated to a conclusion and as a result, achieved the first EU-wide injunction against a rival toy company. 

Prior to joining Mattel, Michael worked at the San Diego District Attorney’s Office, the US Patent & Trademark Office, as well as in private practice.  Michael is active with the International Trademark Association (INTA) and has served on INTA’s Board of Directors and INTA’s Anticounterfeiting Committee.
