Exam Information

Exams are mandatory for students taking courses for academic credit. 

Most exams consist of a 24-hour take-home exam.

The final examination of the Mediation Program is a paper.

Visiting attorneys and participants not interested in ABA academic credit and those not wishing to take exams will receive a certificate of attendance. Participants who take and pass exams will receive a Certificate of Completion or Diploma. 

Examination Time Period

Students may download the 24-hour take-home exam during the week of June 19-23, 2023.

The final paper of the Mediation Course must be submitted by the last day of the exams, July 20, 2023.

When and Where do I take the Exam?

For-credit students will retrieve and submit exams electronically through MyWCL portal.

Certificate students will download and submit exams electronically through the Canvas platform (same platform that hosts the course materials). 

Students are not required to remain in Washington, D.C. for the exams. As long as you have access to the internet, you will be able to to enter the exam portal and download the exams.
