Ian Harris teaches Domestic Violence Law and serves as the Technology Safety Legal Manager at the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV). His research examines the intersection of technology and domestic violence, including digital evidence, legal ethics, and policy. Prior to joining NNEDV, he was Director of the Family Law/Domestic Violence Unit at Staten Island Legal Services (SILS), and a staff attorney with the New York Legal Assistance Group’s (NYLAG) Matrimonial & Family Law Unit and at Day One, a NYC-based organization that focuses on young survivors of gender-based violence. Ian has taught as an Adjunct Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at Wagner College. He is a faculty member for the National Judicial Institute on Domestic Violence, a consultant for the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, and a Commissioner on the DC Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board. He previously served as the Chair of the New York City Bar Association Domestic Violence Committee. He received his JD from Â鶹ÊÓƵ Washington College of Law and an MA from the Â鶹ÊÓƵ School of International Service.
