Bio

Sharra E. Greer is the Chief Systemic Advocacy Officer of the Children's Law Center.  Children's Law Center is a legal services organization focused on advocacy for children who are abused or neglected, who aren’t learning in school, or who have health problems that can’t be solved by medicine alone.  In her current role she works legislation, regulations, and policies across all the areas of Children's Law Center's work.

Prof. Greer has extensive and diverse policy and litigation experience. Prior to Children's Law Center, she developed the policy department at Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, where she created and supervised that department, and supervised the group’s successful legal services and impact litigation efforts.  She also was a staff attorney with the National Veterans Legal Services Program, where she worked on cases before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and represented plaintiffs in two class action suits through NVLSP’s Agent Orange Resource Center. Sharra began her legal services work while at Rutgers Law School, when she worked at Camden Regional Legal Services, and was an associate with the firm of Weissman & Mintz.
