JenniferÌýMuellerÌýis an attorney, writer, and mediator. In addition to providing public policy consulting, research, and writing services to a wide range of clients, Jen also works as a senior fellowship coach with The OpEd Project and a volunteer mediator for the DC circuit and district courts. She is the author, with Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, of The Scheme: How the Right Wing Used Dark Money to Capture the Supreme Court.Ìý
Jen previously taught at Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Washington College of Law, where she was the Practitioner-in-Residence atÌýthe Janet R. Spragens Federal Tax Clinic and published several law review articles on political participation. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Jen clerked for Judge Warren Ferguson on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals before entering private practice as an appellate litigator in the Washington, DC, office of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering (now WilmerHale). She has also worked as counsel at The Raben Group and, prior to law school, as an English teacher at the State Language School in Prague, Czech Republic.
Jen has been a certified mediator since 1997 and served as president of the Harvard Mediation Program. A native of New Jersey and longtime DC resident, she received her undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill.
