Federal Work Study
Federal Work Study (FWS) is a federally sponsored program that enables eligible students to earn income through part-time employment with select organizations, including the university, local nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.
Eligible students who complete the FAFSA and have demonstrated financial need are awarded FWS as part of their financial aid packages. The maximum award amount for an academic year is $2000. This amount may be smaller depending on financial need. Based on a minimum wage of $17.00 an hour students tend to work 3-5 hours per week during the academic year.
FWS Opportunities
A range of FWS opportunities exist to satisfy Â鶹ÊÓƵ students' diverse interests and to meet critical needs of the university and its community. Application processes vary for each type of FWS opportunity, so carefully review each job posting and follow the application instructions.
