- Ed Timke (PhD, University of Michigan) is Adjunct Professorial Lecturer for the School of International Service and Visiting Scholar in the Department of History at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. He is also Associate Editor of the academic journal Advertising & Society Quarterly. Timke’s specialties include international and intercultural communication, global media and advertising, and qualitative research methods. His work focuses on the role of media and advertising in shaping how different cultures understand and imagine each other. Timke has received numerous awards and nominations recognizing his excellence in teaching and mentoring, including an Outstanding SIS Teaching in an Adjunct Faculty Position award in 2020.
