Ms. Curby serves as the primary academic advisor for the Masters in International Relations (MAIR) and Master of International Service - Executive programs for both online & on campus students at the School of International Service. Prior to joining the advising staff, Ms. Curby’s worked in clinical psychology field doing clinical work, as a psychology instructor, and research staff. She has worked as clinical assessment practitioner, a therapist, taught psychology courses for undergraduate students, and has training and managing experience through her work at the University of Virginia Early Steps Project, a multi-site preventative intervention project with low-income at-risk populations. In clinical work, she assisted students with learning and mental health challenges understand their unique strengths and weaknesses and advised clients on accommodations and resources. She also brings her experience of balancing full-time employment while doing graduate work to her students along with a focus on equity and universal access materials accessible to all students.
