1098T Tax form

The 1098T is the form that Â鶹ÊÓƵ provides that shows the amount of tuition a student has been charged during the academic year, for the purpose of determining a student's eligibility for the Hope and Lifetime Learning tax credits

Current students who require an additional copy of their 1098-T can find it on the Student Accounts page of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ portal look for the personalized link called "1098T View My Forms". Students are encouraged to use the portal to re-print the 1098-T form.
Students who have graduated, or are no longer students at the university will need to send a written request for information, including semesters (if requesting a billing statement), a signature, and a copy of a government issued picture ID. This request can be faxed to Â鶹ÊÓƵ Central at (202) 885-8010 or via e-mail with a scanned copy of the ID to aucentral@american.edu.

Try changing browsers. The preferred browser is Internet Explorer. Also, make sure your browsers pop-up blocker is turned off, as this can prevent the 1098T from loading.

Students who received the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Dependent Tuition Scholarship in 2013 will see this benefit reflected in Box 5 (scholarships and grants) of the 1098T form. This benefit is not reflected in Box 2 (amounts billed for qualified tuition and related expenses).
