Students can update their address by clicking on the 鈥淐hange Address (Current Students)鈥� link under the Academics tab of the student portal.

Currently enrolled students are required to have an in-session/local and permanent/home address on file. While most communications are sent through university email accounts, some important documents are mailed through the United States Postal Service.

Students who do not maintain updated addresses are in violation of the Student Conduct Code. A registration hold may be placed on the student鈥檚 account which will prevent the student from registering for classes, if there is no current in-session AND a current home address.

Prospective students (those who have not yet registered for courses) should update their address through the Prospective Student Portal.

Alumni should update their address with the Office of Development and Alumni Relations utilizing their update form.

Current Students living in university housing may not use this link to update an address in a residence hall.聽 To update a residence hall address please contact Housing and Dining at 202 885-3370.
