Bio
I am interested in the study of the interplanetary plasma medium that lies in between the planets and the stars using modern astronomical, numerical and statistical techniques. I am presently involved in studying the dependence of the terrestrial magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling on solar and magnetospheric activity. More specifically, I am trying to estimate ionospheric conductance in global MHD models during extreme solar events, using a physics-based modeling tool. This will help us predict space weather more accurately on the ground and in the upper atmosphere.

I am involved in learning computational fluid and plasma dynamics in addition to statistical methods, that can be applied in space research. I am a lifelong student of fluid mechanics, and actively pursuing the study of theoretical fluid/plasma dynamics with applications in astrophysics and space physics, as a future field of research.
